Fun Friday

Show-n-tell: Ms. Erin read a book about show-n-tell and introduced how we will participate in show n' tell. In a few weeks, we will start bringing in our own items to show n tell. There are lots of questions we have to ask to try and guess what the person brought. (More information on show-n-tell will come in the weeks to follow).

.
In circle, we discussed the month of September and the fun things to do in this month! We created our calendar, sang the days of the week, and our Friday song. We practiced talking about "tomorrow" "yesterday" "today"

Legos are always fun!

ART:
We learned about lines: straight, zig zag, curvy, etc. We used black crayons to make lines then water colored over the lines to make a picture.  We also glued beads on paper.

As a class we wrote a book about what makes us happy at school. We each came up with an idea and then and to count how many words were in our sentence.

MATH:
Rainbow gold fish were the items we used to sort in a chart form of how many of each color fish we had. We are practicing using words such as most, least.

This afternoon we played with rhyming bean bags, train tracks and made rainbow fish. We used the chalk and erase boards to guess what letter, number or shape Ms. Erin wrote.  We also read "Silly Sally" and practiced rhyming words.

Have a wonderful evening!
