Monday and Tuesday: All About Me/5 Senses

Morning Circle time: What kind of hair do you have? We are practicing asking one another questions. We are using details/adjectives such as short straight hair, short and spiky hair, long and curly hair, etc. Fish friends were expected to call a friend's name, ask the question, and listen to the response to be able to report.

Journal time!  We drew ourselves in our journals. We matched our skin color, eye color, and hair color to draw in our journals. Fish friends drew favorite outfits, matched our hair, and practice writing our names. Of course, we shared our drawings with our friends.

5 senses! We made popcorn and used our five senses to tell about the popcorn. We listened to it pop in the microwave with our ears, we saw it change from kernels to popcorn with our eyes, we smelled the popcorn with our nose, we tasted the popcorn with our tongues.  So much fun!

We LOVE the playground!!

Wednesday: We used our sense of taste by participating in a taste test with our tongues. We tasted a lemon, teddy grahams, pretzels, and goldfish. Ask me which one tasted the best and which one was sour, sweet, and salty.

 

We are talking about "all about me." We used Mr. Potato heads to dress up to look like ourselves or our family members. 

Letters in the light table!  We used big lines, little lines, big curves, and little curves to make letters. We loved making L (Our letter of the week) and the letters in our names.
