Pet Shop Continued

WEDNESDAY: We went to the Eagle Room for centers today! There is so much to do in there, we made apple pie(play dough), magnified nature items, played in the light house, and played with the awesome light table. We also got to show our friends our hearing aids, CI and BAHA. They thought it was pretty cool we have devices to help us hear!

Good Pets vs. Bad Pets sorting. We then had to tell why they would be good pet or a bad pet.

MWe played the game "Where does the animal live?" and also wrote the word "pets" and glued pets in the correct bed or house.

Connectors and patterns.

5 senses game and painting with jingle bells!

SUNSHINE!

MATH: We worked on one to one correspondence and placed the correct number of stamps on the correct number page.

It was fun watching pets do tricks, we used past tense words such as the dog caught the ball or the hamster ran in the wheel to practice using past tense.

Puzzles are great fine motor. We are working on finding the edge pieces and corner pieces.

Fish room news:
Each friend signs in each morning. This helps us practice writing our names, checking on who is here and who isn't here and also helps with our fine motor skills.

Fish Bowls:
"Not Norman" was a book about a boy that got a goldfish for his birthday. He wanted a different pet but throughout the story, found ways that the goldfish was a great pet. Ask me about Norman the goldfish.
We used words to describe the fish we wanted to for our fish bowls. "I want the orange goldfish with long fins". or "I want the big blue fish with a big orange mouth." We were practicing using descriptive adjectives.

SHOW-n-TELL: We had so much fun practicing asking our friends about their show and tell items. Henry brought pirate coins, Ky brought a bouncy ball and Jordan brought a monster truck.

ART: Primary colors; we mixed model magic together and to make new colors. We also painted with red, blue, and yellow paint.

We made puppy chow this morning, but not for the dogs, this treat was for us!! We practiced following a recipe, how to measure ingredients  and practiced using sequencing words.

Thumbs up for puppy chow!
Bone art and cars!

Have a wonderful weekend!
