Thursday and Friday
We had a lot of fun using our senses exploring outside: seeing, touching, hearing, and smelling
The Eagles came over to play during centers. We are working how to use appropriate words to initial play, join play, and negotiate play as well as solve problems.
In music, we sang songs, danced and bounce the ball to learn each others names.
"What does it sound like?" was our experiment on Thursday. We shook eggs and guessed what was inside of them.
We used blocks to measure how tall each of us were. The target we practiced was "ER" and "EST" who is shorter, shortest, taller and tallest.
Ms. Amy is star teacher of the week!
Chains and legos are so fun!
The calendar and days of the week are part of our Friday circle.
In art, we read "The Dot" and then made dot art using paper, paint and dobbers.
"The 5 senses song" was fun!
"How does that feel?" Our experiment on Friday was reaching in our mystery box to talk about how the item felt. We used texture words such as soft, hard, sticky, wet, smooth, rough, squish, bumpy, etc.
"Guess the sound" was a fun game we had to really listen to and guess what the sound was.
