Halloween!

This week's theme is "Halloween". We brainstormed and discussed costumes, what happens on Halloween night, we discussed pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns and all the spooky things!

Jordan and Henry worked really hard on the ABC puzzle.

JOURNALS:
What is your costume? We drew our costumes and told about our drawings. We saw Superman, Spiderman, a lizard, witch, and chef.

"What is missing?" We had to use our eyes and brains to make sure we knew what was missing from the row. This practiced our vocabulary for the week.

Eagle fun at centers and in the big room!

Letter "E"

Pumpkin thumb math book: We used our thumbs to make pumpkins on the page to match the number. This practiced number identification and one-to-one counting.

"Monster Mischief"-we read the book and talked about the problem. We also sequenced the characters and animals in the stew.  We answered a variety of -wh questions. What happened to the stew? Who spilled the stew? What did the 6th monster bring?  etc

Meet Anna, our student teacher in Fish room until Dec. 9th. The kids already showed her the ropes and how much fun we have!
