Halloween Party and the start of Fall

Today we brainstormed the season of "Fall" or "Autumn" and read "Autumn's First Leaf". We talked about the weather turns cooler, the leaves change colors and fall off the trees, we see squirrels collecting acorns, we rake leaves and jump in piles, etc.

Number writing on chalk boards

Syllables: count and clap

Letter F, L, and T sounds. We reviewed these letters and listened for beginning sounds of words and sorted pictures.

"There was A Little Old Lady Who wasn't Afraid of Anything". We talked about the things she saw in the book and had to sequence by remembering the sounds they make.  We also answered a variety of -wh questions.

HALLOWEEN:

We had a spook-tacular time at our Halloween party yesterday! Below you will see pictures of games we played, pumpkin art, play dough with cookie cutters and the parade we had! The fifth grade center also went on a parade in their costumes we got to watch. We went trick or treating and had trick or treaters come to us to practice appropriate manners. Everyone loved our jokes!
