Holiday theme Th/Friday

 Hello, we are wrapping up the theme of "Holidays". 

Monday is our gift exchange, Tuesday is our Holiday party and Wednesday is a early release day, we will dismiss at 11:30am. 

We worked on "between, above, beside, and below this week".

Each fish friend took turns asking the other classes "how many friends are in your class?" then we gave them that many candy canes! This was great for social language and correction strategies (ex. if a student couldn't hear or didn't respond)





SECOND STEPS: We have been talking about mad, angry, or frustrated this week. We talked about what this emotion looks like, feels like, and some things to do if you feel this way.

Cinnamon Dough: We worked together to follow a recipe and mix the ingredients.





We used cookie sprinkles to make letters. 

D, F, J letter sound trees. We listened for beginning sounds.

SHOW-N-TELL:
Kyler brought a football and Taighan brought a owl



"What is missing?" was a game where we had to focus on the items and then close our eyes, when we opened our eyes, one of the items was gone and we had to remember which item was where and what item went missing! Great vocabulary practice!

Wednesday - more school fun

At circle, we sang, danced and practiced our rules song.  We also discussed "good vs. bad" choices to support our classroom rules and routines.   "Eyes are watching, ears are listening, voices quiet, bodies calm, this is how we listen, this is how we listen, at circle time, at circle time." We also made our own fish bowls by telling the color, size and location of the fish we wanted (ex. I want the big blue fish in the middle of the fish blow, I want the small yellow fish at the bottom of the fish bowl).  We danced and did mat man then made our self portrait.  In music, we sang danced and learned our eagle friends' names!  We read the " The Kissing Hand " and talked about how we felt on the first day of school.  Oh no! Happy Friday!

 Today we enjoyed building with legos, show-n-tell, practicing our jokes,  and art with the Eagles. We are excited for our Halloween celebration Monday! *Please send costumes in their bag with 14 treats to hand out.  It's Friday! We counted all the way to 28.  Jordan brought Mickey Mouse and Taighan brought a tambourine.  Ask me my joke!  Water color pumpkins was our art project today.  " Go Away Big Green Monster "
