Our bodies and germs

This week we introduced "our body and germs". We brainstormed different parts of our body, how our bodies work, and what we need to stay healthy. We drew ourselves in a self portrait, reviewed Matman, and talked about what we do WITH the different parts of our bodies.

QUESTION of the DAY: "What color are your eyes?" All the fish friends have brown eyes, except for Erin!

Puzzles

Tracing and labeling our bodies to practice vocabulary.

The puppy friends traced themselves also.

Matching shapes to the outline and rubber band games were fun!

We are learning about the letter R. We will write letter R, listen for the sound of letter R, and identify words that begin with letter R.
Letter R on our magnet boards:

Rain starts with "R"

Place the dot on your_____ : in this activity, we had to listen for a body part and we had to place the sticker dot on that body part.

MATH: Counting germs on hands. We placed the correct number of pom poms on the hand to match the number chosen.

We made our own germs. Is our germ good or bad? How does it makes us healthy or sick? We had germs giving us a sore throat, giving us a tummy ache, and others protected us from sick germs.

"The Sneeze" was an awesome video! It showed us how germs spread, very easily. We cough and sneeze in our elbow and always wash our hands.

We LOVE the SNOW outside!

In music, we danced like jellyfish, ice skated on paper plates, and sang our "winter warmies" song
