 "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" The fish friends thought this story was hilarious.  We had to talk about a lot of word meaning and intonation during this story. It was also a great introduction to thought bubbles and speech bubbles.

"The Car Washing Street" Fish friends shared experiences about going to a car wash but in this book the families wash cars in their neighborhood.  Ask your child what happened on this hot summer day on the car washing street :)
Pattern Blocks 



Transportation Patterns: ABAB, AABB, ABCABC

Practicing using the words "Farthest and farther than" when racing cars. We made predictions and talked about what happened.



Brainstorming Things that Fly: We talked about and watched videos of airplanes, jets, hot air balloons, blimps, and helicopters.



Paper Airplanes: we designed, folded and raced our airplanes. Who's airplane went the farthest?






Recess! We love the sunshine and warmer air!

Scooter Races -who went faster? 


Math- counting windows for the airplanes. We practiced identifying amounts on 2 dice and counting with one-to-one correspondence



Centers with the Puppies and Eagles -magnets and  dinosaurs, oh what fun!

 Today we enjoyed building with legos, show-n-tell, practicing our jokes,  and art with the Eagles. We are excited for our Halloween celebration Monday! *Please send costumes in their bag with 14 treats to hand out.  It's Friday! Wednesday - more school fun

At circle, we sang, danced and practiced our rules song.  We also discussed "good vs. bad" choices to support our classroom rules and routines.   "Eyes are watching, ears are listening, voices quiet, bodies calm, this is how we listen, this is how we listen, at circle time, at circle time." We also made our own fish bowls by telling the color, size and location of the fish we wanted (ex. I want the big blue fish in the middle of the fish blow, I want the small yellow fish at the bottom of the fish bowl).  We danced and did mat man then made our self portrait.  In music, we sang danced and learned our eagle friends' names!  We read the " The Kissing Hand " and talked about how we felt on the first day of school.  Oh no!
